SMYLe have successfully won a BT Community Champions 2004 award. BT employees who have an active personal involvement in a community work during their free time are able to apply for funding for their associated group through this scheme. A panel of judges allocated grants giving preference to groups who's activities or projects demonstrates that better communications helps to create a better world.
SMYLe which is the only Muslim group to have been honoured with this award, are absolutely delighted with the support and recognition received for its role in establishing a good vibrant Muslim youth community, working towards the betterment of the Welsh society.
We hope other companies and organisations follow the example of BT and continue to support the vital work carried out by SMYLe.
